Day three       Return to Misadventureres main page

After breakfast, four men went golfing and the rest of us drove up a dirt road and went on a one hour hike.  The temperature was rising so we continued on to a bar at the end of the road.  It was the Nellie E. Saloon.  It is on an old mining site.  We had a beer and then the ladies stayed to hear the band.  The men went back to the Big River Inn and relaxed.  When the ladies returned, they had this idea to float down the river.  They had bought some "equipment" and were ready to go.  Three of them were driven 2.2 miles up the river where they started there journey.  About one hour later they had floated to the park down below the Inn.  Dinner, a high stakes card game, and a big fire finished the day.
