Cook's Bay on Moorea  We left Papeete at midnight and arrived at at 8:30 in the morning. Strangely enough, Captain Cook did not actually anchor his ship in the bay carrying his name today but in Opunohu’s bay where he remained from September 30th to October 11th, 1777.  We took the tender to the dock and walked about a mile down the road.   We went snorkeling on the reef in the afternoon.  As we left at 4 PM, the sails were hoisted to music.
