October 22nd 2008, Port Everglades (Florida, USA)

With all our passengers and crew members on board, we let go our mooring lines at 17:19 hrs and then Captain manoeuvred the ship in the harbour by thrusting off the berth laterally, moving ahead and then swinging the bow to port. Once the swing was completed we then headed through the channel to exit the harbour. At 17:44 hrs once clear of the harbour we disembarked the harbour pilot. He had assisted the vessel on the Bridge to depart from the berth and exit the channel. After disembarking the pilot southerly heading was set into the "Straits of Florida" towards "Santaren Channel" just north of Cuba.

October 23rd 2008, At Sea

Throughout the night southerly courses were maintained until we entered the "Old Bahama Channel" where we navigated for the whole day with the Cuban north coast on our starboard side and the "Great Bahama Bank" on our port side.

Just after 21 :00 hrs we reached the eastern tip of Cuba and entered the "Winward Passage" between Cuba and Haiti.

October 24th 2008, At Sea

During the early hours in the morning we maintained a south-west track and, once clear of the Haiti's west coast, we altered our course heading southeast through the Caribbean Sea toward Aruba.

In the early morning Coral Princess made her landfall off the north coast of Aruba and commenced the approach towards the berth. The local Pilot boarded at 05:54 hI's half a mile off the coral reef to assist us in this final stage of navigation. We were fast alongside our berth at 06:42 hI's.

October 26th 2008, Cartagena, Colombia

In the early morning Coral Princess approached the narrow entrance of the Bay of Cartagena through "Bocachica" and the south end of "Isla Tierra Bomba" where the local pilot boarded at07:1 0 hI's to assist the vessel through the channel to the inner harbour. After 12 miles of channel navigation Coral Princess approached the pier with bow in. Vessel was fast alongside at 08:39 hI's.

With all passengers on board and with the local pilot on board, Coral Princess slipped her mooring at 14:49 hI's proceeding out of Cartagena's inner harbour setting various courses inside the channel and once out of the bay the local pilot was disembarked and a west­south-westerly course was sent bound for the Panama Canal.

October 27th 2008, Panama Canal Transit

In the early morning Coral Princess made her approach to the north entrance of the Panama Canal, at 05:40 hI's a Canal Pilot was embarked and we commenced navigating inside the narrow channel. At 08:18 hI's we entered the first ofthe three "Gatun Locks" making fast eight electric locomotives or "Mules" to safely drive us through the chambers. By 09:45 hI's we had risen up to the level of "Gatun Lake". The- Centre wall of the last lock was cleared at 10:00 hI's and from there various courses were set through the lake towards Culebra Cut.

We entered the cut, the narrowest part ofthe canal, at 13:27 hI's. From here we commenced the run towards Pedro Miguel lock. Coral Princess entered the chamber of Pedro Miguel locks at 14:37 hI's and we were then lowered down to the level of Miraflores Lake. We cleared the lock chamber at 15:08 hrs and set a south easterly course towards the two Miraflore's locks. Again, with mules made fast fore and aft, WE~ entered the upper chamber at 15:54 hI's. Coral Princess completed her transit of Miraflores at 16:39, entered Pacific waters c ld later passing under the Bridge ofthe Americas at 17:08 hI's. With Panama Ciity visible on the port side various southerly courses were set into the Gulf of Panama towards the Pacific Ocean.

October :28th 2008, At Sea

Coral Princess rounded Punta Mala, Panamas southern tip, shortly after midnight and altered to a westerly heading to parallel the southern coastline throughout the morning.

October 29th 2008, Puntarenas, Costa Rica

At 03:45 hI's we entered the Gulf of Nicoya, and set various courses through the Gulf towards Puntarenas. We embarked our local pilot at 05:56 hI's to assist us in the final stages of the arrival. Approaching the pier we started to swing the bow to port and with the assistance of two Tug Boats our vessel was fast alongside at 07:20 hI's.

With all passengers back on board and with the local pilot, we slipped in our mooring lines at 18:49 hI's. We then thrusted off the berth and once clear from the pier we swung the bow to port, exited the channel and then headed south into the Gulf of Nicoya. We maintained a safe speed in the gulf due to numerous small vessels engaged in fishing in the area. Later the speed was increased and a north-westerly course was set heading towards San Juan Del Sur.

October 30th 2008, San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua

Early in the morning northerly courses were set off the coast of Costa Rica and at03:37 hI's we altered our course for approaching San Juan Del Sur. We made our final approaches at 0515 hI's and at 05:39 hI's let go our starboard anchor. At 05:56 hI's the anchor was brought up. Tenders were dispatched with passengers after the shore party was established and the ship was cleared by the officials.

With all passengers back on board we heaved our anchor and the anchor was aweigh at 15:14 hI's and after exiting the basin, a south westerly heading was set for our next port of call Puerto Quetzal.

October 31 st 2008, Puerto Quetzal. Guatemala

The local pilot boarded the vessel at 08:01 hI's and we then began our approach towards the Breakwater. At 08:18 hI's the bow of the vessel entered the breakwater. Inside the harbour we swung stern to port and bow to starboard and then moved astern to reach our berth. At 09:10 hI's we were all fast alongside the berth.

Coral Princess remained alongside until 17:50 hI's. With all our passengers, crew and the local pilot on board, we let go our mooring lines at 18:05 hI's. The Captain then thrusted off the berth and proceeded slowly ahead and altering courses to exit the breakwater. At 18:20 hI's we disembarked the pilot and headed for Huatulco.

November 01 st 2008, Huatulco, Mexico

The local pilot boarded the ship at 11:10 hI's in order to assist the Captain to manoeuvre the vessel alongside. We headed directlywith bow inn. First line was put ashore at 11 :36 hI's, and the ship was all fast, with gangways ready for passenger use at 12:01 hI's.

Once clear of the coast we swung bow to port and stern to starboard and headed a west-northwest course.

 

November 02nd 2008, At Sea

Coral Princess thought the day maintained a north westerly coast off the west coast of Mexico.

Coral Princess maintained a north westerly heading off the coast of Baja California. At 08:00 hrs our ship was abeam Cedris Island.

During the early hours of the morning Coral Princess navigated through the "Gulf Of Santa Catalina" heading towards the San Pedro Channel. The local pilot boarded at 05:45 hrs. With the aid of the pilot's local knowledge, the Captain navigated the ship through the narrow entrance to the harbour and then manoeuvred the vessel alongside the berth. Vessel fast alongside by 07:00 hrs.
