We drove from Battlemountain to Fields, Oregon and met Nicole and Eduardo at the B % B and stayed two nights and did exploring in the mountains.  Very remote part of southeast Oregon.  Went to Frenchglen, stayed the night at a historic hotel (small rooms, bathroom down the hall, and lots of mosquitoes outside).

Finally drove to Bend, Oregon to their new house.  Lots of activity in Bend on 4th of July.  Went hiking in the Cascade mountains to the west of town.  Lots of snow left on ground.

Drove back on US395, stayed at Walker, California and hiked in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
