The trip to Mexico started on November 28 and ended on December 7 2007.   We flew directly to Leon airport 1300 miles (2000km) from LA.  The left map below shows the US and Mexico, while the right map shows the detailed area where we toured.  We rented a car (white jeep wrangler) form Hertz.  The area is about 250 Kilometers Northwest of Mexico city.  This is the colonial part of Mexico with lots of silver mines. Each city had many old buildings and large cathedrals.  Notes
