We landed at Miami International Airport and had to wait in line for the car for one hour at Avis.  They gave us a car one size larger (Mercury Marquis), but the overall mileage was good (25 MPH). High rise apartments and condominiums line the beaches in south Florida.  Some beaches have very white sand and are about as wide as Hermosa's.  Access to the beaches is spotty with long stretches with no access.
