Hi Classmate,
I am sending out this letter as a reminder that our Reunion is just nine months from nowSeptember 14-16. The hope is that you will prioritize this event as a "must attend".
Please read carefully the enclosed biographical requests (letter from Judy MORELAND Money) and the various informational data, including the biographical samples that we have provided. (By the way, creativity and imagination are encouraged in creating your bio. Please do not be restricted by the samples.)
You will also note that I have included some hotel/motel info that was pulled up from the internet and is validated by previous reunionites from the CJasses of 1951-19'56.
The "host hotel" is the Marriot Courtyard Suites, not too far from our Saturday night dinner venue at Brookside Country and Golf Club, near the Rose Bowl. All of the hotels listed on the following pages offer "specials". My wife, Nancy, and I will be staying at the Marriott Courtyard Suites - convenient, and the Marriott will provide transit between our dinner venue and the hotel on Saturday night. We hope to have a "no host" reception at the Marriott on Friday night for those who are arriving on Friday. The location is great, just a short distance from the "Old Town Pasadena" area with many great restaurants and galleries.
South Pasadena High School in the 50's was an exceptional opportunity for all of us. We were the "fortunate ones" after World War II and Korea. I hope that you will seize this opportunity to attend this very special celebration. This Reunion will never be replicated. In fact, based upon conversations with others older than we are, I would encourage you to bring your spouse or companion, (perhaps even your children). This is a "life event" worth celebrating.
