Recent news about our classmates

Received a sad call from Cecilia today informing me of John Culbertsonís passing last Friday.  John was the recipient of a heart transplant shortly after our 50th celebration, and he fought a great fight for almost two years.  There will be a celebration of Johnís life at the Costa Mesa Country Club on Sunday, May 31, from 2-6PM.  All classmates and friends are invited.  Would you please post the info on our website for all to see? I have been looking for Tom Cutting for years and today I found him. I talked to his wife Dee and found that Tom Cutting died on April 23, 2007
He and Dee  had been married almost 50 years had two sons and a daughter along with another adopted child.  Tom retired from the Air Force at Travis Air Base in Fairfield CA  and they lived in Vacaville until they moved to Las Vegas NV about five years ago.  R.I.P........   Rick Whiting   Posted 29 July 2008

As most of you know, I was married to Judy, the mother of our sons, Scott & Mark, from 1961 to 1981.
We both were subsequently married to others, however, I have been single for many, many years.
Unfortunately, Judy's husband of 25 years, Jerry Fillman, passed away in July 2006.
A couple of months later, our older son, Scott, also passed away.
These combined unfortunate events brought Judy and me together again after so many years.
So, after selling her home on Whidbey Island in Washington last summer, she moved back to Southern California with me.
Now  for the really good news ~ Judy and I were married again on December 12, 2007!
I couldn't be happier!
She's, by far, the best thing that's ever happened to me.
We still have lots of questions to address ~ where to live, etc, but we'll be at my current address at least until next July.
Just wanted you to know.

Hi Classmates,
I'm delighted to report that our friend and classmate, John Culbertson, underwent successful heart transplant this past October, and returned to his home with Cecilia yesterday.  He is resting and regaining his strength.  Hope we can all find a moment to hold John in our thoughts and prayers.
